Torn earlobes are a very common presentation in the cosmetic surgery practice. This can result for gradual stretching from heavy  earrings or from trauma  tearing the lobe.  Accidental hole tears can occur from catching the earring on sweaters, brushes, towels, etc.  They can be complete or incomplete tears.

Earlobe repairs are performed in the office with local anesthesia in usually lest than 15-20 minutes.  Dr. Keen almost exclusively uses Radiofrequency to treat these tears and usually resorbable (disolving) sutures are placed.
